My friends, I am one of the people in the "at-risk" group that is vulnerable to this virus. I choose to not walk in fear. I am not any more concerned about this virus than all the other viruses out there. They are all dangerous to the elderly and vulnerable. As long as I am cautious and alert in my surroundings and wash my hands a lot, I limit my possible exposure to this virus. All the media awareness has made it possible to have fewer cases than other times we had a virus (H1N1, sars, bird flu, MERS, etc) but at the same time, it is causing everyone to panic. Yes, we need to be concerned but we also need to be reasonable and smart. So be careful where you are getting your information, look for reliable info and not fearful hype.
SO...
Wash your hands
Pray for God's protection for your family and others.
Lift up the medical staff in prayer and encouragement as they are the front line of defense.
Be kind, generous, self-controlled and patient
Speak peace
Show love.
And above all remember
God is bigger than this virus.
