Word In Motion
Why do we pick and choose what we think God can or can’t do or even will or won’t do? Why do we limit Him based on what we think?
Nothing is too hard for our miracle-working God. He is waiting for us to believe that He is who He says He is… Faithful and True. He is waiting for us to remember He will accomplish all that He has said He will do. He is waiting for us to trust in His goodness. He is waiting for us to see that His love surrounds us and to trust that He will never fail us based on that love. He is waiting for us to remember that He is still a miracle working God!
It’s time for us to remember the truth… He is God and with Him all things are possible. Time to shake off the discouragement and complacency and get excited!
The LORD Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have proposed, so it will happen. Isaiah 14:24
If God can set the oceans within their borders and keep them there, if He can hold the rotation of the sun, moon, and stars in their place, if He can even defeat death ( His greatest accomplishment), He most certainly can answer our prayers. We need to shake up our faith and shake off our complacency and believe in the extravagant and outrageous promises He has given.
I SAY, “My splendor is gone and all that I had hoped from the Lord.” I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness, and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.
YET, this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
SO, I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him.” Lamentations 3:18-26a
Prayer: Father God, I repent for doubting your word. I’ve been looking at my circumstances and seeing them as bigger than You and have been living in a spirit of discouragement and doubt. I have forgotten who You are and what You can do. Forgive me. I choose now to remember that You are God and to trust in the truth of Your faithfulness.
I will remember all You have done in my life and that You have never left me nor have You ever failed me. You will accomplish all that You have said, for the truth is that You cannot lie nor fail. Your will for me will be fulfilled … Your good, perfect, pleasing will.
I surrender my mind and heart to You. Transform me by Your words of truth, the truth that sets me free for the bondage of my flesh. Help me not to conform to the pattern of this world of false belief and despair. Please remove my doubt and give me a measure of faith to endure what is before me. I choose to believe. I choose to yield my will and disbelief. I choose to let my faith arise.
O LORD my God, you have performed many wonders. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them. Psalm 40:5
O LORD, You are my God! I will exalt You; I will praise Your name. For You have worked wonders—plans formed long ago—in perfect faithfulness. Isaiah 25:1
