The Living Word
“This is what the Lord says: ‘...those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: That they truly know Me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!’” Jeremiah 9:23-24
The Word in Motion
Do you find yourself boasting of the Lord in your circumstances or do you tend to grumble and complain. The Lord is speaking to our hearts that in all we do and say we need to be speaking the truth about who He is and that we understand Him. In Psalm 34 it says that when we boast in Him others take heart. Our act of praise and thanksgiving is not just for ourselves it is also for those around us, so they can see that there is hope in their own situations. “I prayed to the Lord and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to Him for help will be radiant with JOY; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.” Psalm 34:5. Our mouths need to be filled with the praises of the One who delivers us from all fear. Our faces should be radiant with joy because we know the Lord and we understand the Lord; that he is faithful, good, never fails, loves unconditionally and His mercy is new every morning. Not just to strengthen our faith but to encourage others. So boast in this: I know the Lord and I understand Him. He will always demonstrate His unfailing love.
